As a partner of Platt Byard Dovell White Architects, Samuel White oversees a New York City practice focusing on designs that introduce new interventions to historic settings. The firm’s commissions include the restoration and adaptive reuse of the Park Avenue Armory at 66th Street plus new entrances and galleries for the New York Historical Society.
He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and an Academician of the National Academy of Design, an adjunct professor at New York University, and a trustee of the Augustus Saint-Gaudens Memorial, Portsmouth Abbey School, and the Green-Wood Cemetery. He is a graduate of Harvard College and the University of Pennsylvania.
