2008 Preservation Foundation Dinner Dance

On Friday, March 7th, 2008 the Venetian Ballroom of the Breakers Hotel became an ode to India at the Preservation Foundation’s Annual Dinner Dance.  Hilary Geary Ross served her first year as Chair for the Annual Dinner Dance working with well-known designer Scott Snyder on the evening’s theme.

President John Mashek said, “The proceeds from the ball, a record-breaking over $1 million, are allocated to benefit our youth education programs and the important work of preservation here in the town.  It is a testament to Hilary how successful the gala has been during this, her first year as Chair.”

U.S. Trust, the nation’s oldest trust company, enjoyed their fourth year as the Major Corporate Benefactor.  This year also welcomed Cartier’s first time as a Corporate Benefactor Sponsor.

Gifts for guests included the book Ralph Lauren, a history of the company from Ralph Lauren Palm Beach, scented candles from India Hicks, a special preservation compact from the Estée Lauder Companies, an embroidered pocket from Stubbs & Wootton, and wood-handled silk umbrellas from the Wathne Limited.
