Join us for a cocktail reception celebrating the opening of our newest exhibition , featuring remarks by the curators, Archivist Keren Blatt and Vice President Katie Jacob.

This exhibition explores the work of the Architects’ Small House Bureau and the popularity of the Monterey Style, examining how architects in Palm Beach responded to national movements advocating for modest, well-designed homes during the interwar and post-WWII periods.

Showcasing ready-made house plans by prominent local architects such as Volk, Wyeth, and Shoumate, the exhibition reveals how thoughtful design flourished even within limited budgets. Set against the dual backdrops of Depression-era resilience and postwar optimism, the exhibition highlights the enduring appeal of domestic architecture that is carefully scaled, regionally adapted, and stylistically rich.
