Join the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach for the Kelly Williams/Andrew Forsyth BioBlitz, an early-morning exploration of Palm Beach’s ecosystems. Beginning at 8:00 AM at the Phipps Ocean Park South Enterance, participants will work alongside Foundation staff and local experts to document the island’s rich biodiversity. Experience Phipps Ocean Park’s south rain garden and part of the maritime hammock ecosystems.
Using the citizen science apps iNaturalist and eBird, attendees will help record plant and wildlife observations that contribute to global conservation databases. This hands-on initiative engages the community in a meaningful effort to better understand and protect the island’s natural environment.
The BioBlitz provides a vital snapshot of local species that will inform ongoing restoration and conservation work at Phipps Ocean Park and beyond. All ages and levels of experience are welcome—just bring your curiosity and a smartphone to get started.
**Participants may only walk through the area open to the public on the south end of the park. There is no beach access.
