The forty-five thousand square foot, one-hundred-and twenty-five room winter home of James P. and Jesse Woolworth Donahue was the largest single-family home Wyeth designed in Palm Beach. Called Cielito Lindo or “A Little Piece of Heaven,” the house had cost over $2,000,000. The home had many Moorish Revival details especially in the tower and the entryway.
When the lot was sold in 1946, architect Byron Simonson of the firm Simonson and Holley, devised a plan to subdivide the land into nineteen lots and partition the large mansion into five smaller villas since it was so large and would not have been feasible to remain as one home. Two of the five villas were designated as landmarks in 2016.
