The Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach’s Community Business Preservation Program is an initiative designed to support Palm Beach’s locally owned businesses by providing strategic resources and promotional assistance to help them thrive.
Local businesses, and the passionate people who run them, are the heartbeat of Palm Beach. From bookstores to coffee shops to tailors and more, having walkable, unique places for residents to shop and socialize is vital to keeping Palm Beach vibrant.
Unfortunately, rising rents, seasonal shopping trends, and other factors are threatening to displace business owners from the island. Sensing the urgent need for assistance, this March, the Preservation Foundation started the Community Business Preservation Program, chaired by Executive Committee member Charles M. Royce.
The Community Business Preservation Program will provide assistance to local business owners. This includes:
- Dedicated business listings on the Preservation Foundation’s website, including an interactive map highlighting participating businesses (Coming soon!)
- Promotion through the Foundation’s social media and digital communications channels
- Recognition of long-standing Legacy Businesses
- Advocacy to support the health of locally owned, Town-serving businesses on Palm Beach
Business owners interested in participating in the Community Business Preservation Program may contact the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach at 561.832.0731 or info@palmbeachpreservation.org.
