Join the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach for a captivating lecture with Ann Pyne, President of New York design institution McMillen Inc., celebrating the firm’s 100th anniversary.

Founded in 1924 by Eleanor McMillen Brown, McMillen Inc. is recognized as America’s first full-service interior design firm, renowned for its timeless approach and legendary clientele—from Marjorie Merriweather Post and Doris Duke to landmark commissions including Blair House and the White House.

In this illustrated talk, Pyne will explore a century of American life and taste through McMillen’s extraordinary archive—featuring rare hand-painted renderings, historic interiors, and stories from the firm’s defining eras. Her presentation offers an intimate look at how McMillen has endured and evolved through the Great Depression, postwar prosperity, and into the present day while continuing to set the standard for gracious design.
