The Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach is pleased to welcome Gregory L. Palmer, AIA, president and senior principal architect of Harrison Design, for a program exploring the enduring influence of classical architecture and the thoughtful design of residences rooted in place, history, and tradition. Based in the firm’s Naples office, Palmer brings decades of experience spanning residential architecture, historic renovation, hospitality, institutional design, and resort planning.

Since joining Harrison Design in 1995, Palmer has developed an approach informed by an extensive knowledge of classical architecture and a commitment to historically precise detailing. His work reflects an understanding that successful architecture is not simply about recreating the past, but about drawing upon its principles of proportion, craftsmanship, and permanence to create homes suited to contemporary life. Today, as president of Harrison Design, he oversees the work and operations of the firm’s six offices across the East and West Coasts.

A leader within the architectural community, Palmer serves on the board of directors of the Florida Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art and is a past president of its Southeast Chapter. He has served as a juror for both the ICAA’s Acanthus Awards and Florida’s Mizner Awards, and his own work has received significant recognition. A residence he designed earned both a 2022 Palladio Award and a 2020 Mizner Award, and his work contributed to Harrison Design being named the 2022 Southeast Architect of the Year by the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center and Veranda.

Join us to explore Harrison Design’s approach to creating architecture that responds to history, setting, and the way we live today, and to discover how the principles of classical design continue to shape distinctive and enduring homes.

Registration to come.
