The Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach is pleased to welcome Krista Watterworth Alterman, acclaimed interior designer and founder of Krista+Home, for a conversation exploring her distinctive approach to creating interiors that balance timeless design with bold, livable luxury. A former host on HGTV, The Vanilla Ice Project, and DIY, Alterman has built a career defined by an editorial eye, a strong point of view, and a belief in the power of design to transform not only a space, but the way we experience it.
After beginning her career in television, Krista made the decision to pursue design professionally, studying at Parsons School of Design in New York City and building her practice from the ground up. Combining the instincts developed during her years on television with formal design training and creative direction, she established herself in the world of luxury interiors, creating sophisticated spaces that are at once elevated, intentional, and deeply livable.
Today, Krista leads a team of more than 30 designers at Krista+Home, which was acquired by Vesta Home in 2025. From extensive residential renovations to multimillion-dollar luxury properties, her work is rooted in craftsmanship, lifestyle, and storytelling, with careful attention to the fabrics, textures, wallpapers, furnishings, and architectural details that give a home its individual character. Through her work, Alterman approaches design as something more than aesthetics—an opportunity to shape how people live, feel, and connect with the spaces around them.
Join us to explore Krista Watterworth Alterman’s creative approach to luxury interiors and discover how thoughtful choices, confident design, and a strong sense of personal style can transform a beautiful house into a home that is both memorable and meaningful.
